The cartridges are the same whether from Dell or from retail store with Dell name on them. If you can get C's with no Dell name on them that fit, this usually saves you money.
Also, get yourself a cheapy dot matrix or small bubble-jet printer. Use that for plain b/w printing. Save just your expensive colour jobs for your fancy Dell printer...Can i buy dell ink cartridges at a retail store instead of having to order directly from dell?

No retail store that I know of carries dell ink cartridges. Even wal-mart, which has started stocking Dell PC's doesn't sell Dell ink.. Though I've heard some rumours they might. Who knows.
As of right now, there is no brick and mortar store from which to buy dell ink cartridges.

Of course! Buy them at Staples, Office Depot, MicroAge Basics, any larger office supply store should have them. Look them up under the heading ';office supplies'; in the yellow pages, call them and give them the model of printer, they can tell you if they stock them.
Anywhere they sell Dell Products.They might be more expensive.I just took my computer in today and they had them...
The store I shop at has cartridges for every brand of printer and are cheaper than the manufacturer's one because you have to pay postage as well.
If the store you are going to sell Dell cp's and such you should be able to get an ink cartride from there.
