Which is better? Buy new ink cartridge or refill it?

Staples say they will pay $3 if you recycle your old ink cartridges. But it cost over $50 to buy a new one. I heard it is better to refill them that cost half the price of buying a new one. What do you think?Which is better? Buy new ink cartridge or refill it?
To refill, basically, what you are doing is using a knife or some sharp object to actually puncture the ink cartridges; and then you pour your ink into the ink cartridges using this punctured hole. Unless you put your ink cartridges in a upright position, the link may leak out from the punctured holes.

As far as I am concerned, unless someone can do the whole refill process for me, I'd rather buy new ones.Which is better? Buy new ink cartridge or refill it?
Refill
I REFILL
If Ur going to refill...Just get bulk ink and do it Urself...{:-{}.
my experience with refilled carts is not good, they didnt last as long as new ones
refill is cheaper -- i found the cheapest is just to buy a new cheap printer -- 30 bucks at walmart. which is really stupid cause a new printer comes with 2 ink cartridges.
I've never had as good as quality printing when I refill the ink cartridges. I would recommend filling one, and then purchasing one - say the blue or pink color and then compare printing quality. Sometimes saving in one area, costs us in others.
I personally prefer to refill mine, but for some reason, my refill kit doesn't work like it should, so I take mine to the pros to have them refilled. Most malls should have a ink refill island store. It costs more than an ink refill kit, but they know what they are doing, and have been trained. And they guarantee their work.

But once your ink cartridge is done for, recycle it, and if you have kids, ask if they have a program for recycling it, so the school gets the money.
The fact is, you can buy a new printer including ink for about the same price that you can buy new ink cartridges. If you can find a place that refills them, you can do it for a lot cheaper that way. Great question, Larry RadioShack
refilling is way better because it helps us save money and it works fine. :)
i'd refill it, its still recycling and you save way more
Buying a new one is less messy...but does get expensive if you use your printer often. Refilling isn't difficult...just take your time and make sure you have it in a place where spills won't be a problem
I gave up doing either, now i use Continuous Ink Supply, save over 90% of cartridge cost. UK, 拢00.40 as against 拢6.50 or 16 cartridges for the price of one.

Have a look at this link as an example...

I only use HP printers and for many years HP says not good to refill. I refill at Walmart and have had no problem. Refilling saves big bucks.
You will most likely void the warranty on your printer if you refill your own. So refill is OK as long as nothing goes wrong. Myself, I have not been able to take that chance. There are stores now that will refill for you and you may want to try that.
Unless you have a real nice laser printer or something, with the low cost of printers these days, it almost easier to buy a new printer before filling a cartridge.
i would just get a new one. my op
It is definitely much better to do the refill, especially if you print a lot
i would refill because ink cartridges are VERY expensive!specially at STAPLES!
