How do you clean out and refill a Lexmark #16 ink cartridge?

Put on plastic gloves, get a sharp short knife. Examine the cartridge carefully and you will see where the top is cemented on to the bosy of the cartridge.

You will have to insert the blade all around and break the seal so that you can lifte off the top. Now you can see the ';sponge'; and reservoir that has to be filled.

Do so, wipe the edges carefully. Reinsert the top by coating the edges with glue from a home glue gun.

That's it. I've done it dozens of time an saved hundreds of dollars.
