This is easier said than done in some printers. Not only must you have the special tools some of these cartridges require you must ensure you have the correct toner mix for your printer.
Toner comes in several industry standards, some are finer than others, while they are made to work with particular diffuser / temperature / humidity ranges. If you use the wrong one you could end up messing up your printer and having to pay a costly repair and buying the original toner cartridge any way.
Instead of filling this item at home, I suggest you send your old cartridge to be re-filled at one of the many refill companies available online. Save yourself all the headaches.
If you can get the correct media, filling one of these cartridges is easy, just open it up and pour in the reacquired/measured amount of the toner powder and re-assemble. You WILL NEED an appropriate respirator.
