How do you refill an ink cartridge?

It's a Lexmark 1185 printer. I want to refill it with a kit I bought.

The refill has no instructions. How do you refill an ink cartridge?
Either you have to drill a hole in the top with a small screw (usually provided in the refill kit), or take the top off of the cartridge. Some cartridges have a sticker on the top that covers the refill holes (found this out after spending ten minutes prying off the cap). If you have to pry off the top, use a butter knife and be careful!

When you have it filled, make sure you tape the lid back on or cover the hole with tape. Then make sure to clean the copper contacts with alcohol or the cleaner supplied with the kit.How do you refill an ink cartridge?
You have to drill a small hole in the top. The kit should have provided a drill with a small handle. Then you pour in the ink.

Better do this outside as I now have a black stain on my carpet and shoe. My kit then had a sticker to put over the hole. Be pateint when filling the thing up. There is a chunk of foam in there that holds the ink. It may take awhile to let the foam absorb ink and get full.

If you have an old one you can take it apart and see where the top is the thinnest.
GO TO WAL-MART AND SEE RON IN ELECTRONICS HE WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO DO IT. OH AND HE HAS THE REFILL KITS IN STOCK TOO.
you have to buy them
