Printer cartridge ink refill problem?

I have an HP C4188 all-in-one printer which I bought early this year. I got the black cartridge refilled by a professional computer shop %26amp; after getting it refilled, they said there wudn't be a problem with it cos the nozzles were working %26amp; ink was flowing down normally. However, when I got home, I put the cartridge in the printer %26amp;, after it went about its normal alignment process, the result came out as ';failed'; %26amp; the test page showed only colors %26amp; no black text (black cartridge didnt print). So I took out the cartridge, examined the nozzle area %26amp; since it had dried out slightly, I cleaned it, after which the ink again resumed flowing. Then I put the cartridge back in. But this time I got the error message ';Remove %26amp; check the right catridge'; (the same black one I had just put in). I removed %26amp; rechecked it but found everything to be normal, but I cleaned the nozzles %26amp; copper connections just to be sure. However, the same message is coming repeatedly. What is the problem n what to do?Printer cartridge ink refill problem?
Firstly, you should never let an empty cartridge sit around for any period of time before refilling it. An empty cartridge will dry out completely and often, won't work after being refilled.

Secondly, you should always wait a minimum of 8 hours before installing and using a refilled cartridge. This allows the ink to saturate the sponge inside the cartridge and to equalize air pressure which will allow the ink to flow evenly.

Some refillers often use whatever ink they have on hand that's ';close enough'; to manufacturer's specs. If the cartridge works, great, if not, too bad. It's a great set up for the refillers, since they're refilling your cartridge and ';can't be held responsible'; if it doesn't work.

Factory remanufactured cartridges for your printer will still save you tons of cash and they're always filled with quality ink that meets or exceeds manufactuer's specifications. Unfortunately, they're not always easy to find for new printers.

These cartridges are cleaned and tested before and after refilling. Knowing that everything that can be done to ensure they'll perform as good as new OEM cartridges, these retailers stand behind their products, with fast service and a great warranty.

you can fix a clogged printer cartidge with boiling water. I do it all of the time. Report Abuse

buy new ones. I had this problem before, once it is gone there is no coming back. Don't waste ur money on refilling.
